You will be picked up at ’t Vat in Paramaribo. On the way to Matapica there is a stop at the quay of Marienburg on the Commewijne Riverside. From there a boat is taken to the Malbork plantation Johanna and Margaretha. There is a boat taken by the swamp, in direction of Mata pica. The journey through the swamp is about 20 kilometers long. This is a spectacular journey, before the journey was a lot harder. Today, State oil has a channel constructed and is the Mata pica Beach a lot easier to reach.
Once you have the opportunity to rest, you can also choose to take a delicious dip in the water, to make a delicious walk on the beach with the guide or just sunbathing. If you are a bird lover, don’t forget your binoculars and camera. Here you can see different types of birdwatching as Mata pica is a popular place for birds to Hibernate. The midday meal is consumed.

In the afternoon or in the evening you can witness the unique event: throwing of eggs by the turtles. In the high season there are very many turtles ashore during the day as well as in the night.

When the evening falls we eat a delicious evening meal and we are ready for the evening program. After you enjoyed this will we sleep in hammocks or beds. The next morning, you wake up with a delicious breakfast again relaxed on the beach and in the afternoon we travel back to Paramaribo.
